Colorado could see its biggest snowstorm of the season with more than a foot in the Denver metro area this week, forecasters said.
Snow will begin in Utah late Tuesday and spread south and east into Arizona, southern Wyoming and Colorado by Wednesday. Aquaweather said.
“6-12 inches of widespread snow is expected during the second half of the week,” said AccuWeather Meteorologist Renee Duff.
How much snow does it get in Denver?
Weather.com “For Denver, the foothills west of downtown and the Palmer Divide south of the city will see the heaviest snow, but the metro area could see 6 to 12 inches of snow,” said meteorologist Chris Doles.

The blizzard could also affect the main hub at Denver International Airport, as cancellations and delays are expected both Wednesday and Thursday.
March snow is not unusual in Denver
Dolls March was one of the snowiest months of the year in the Rockies, said: “March was the snowiest or second-snowest month of the year for many locations in eastern Colorado, northern New Mexico, Wyoming and parts of neighboring states,” said Brian Bretschneider, an Alaska-based climatologist.
Thursday marks the three-year anniversary of Denver's last official double-digit snowstorm. 9NEWS Weather Report. On that date in 2021, Denver recorded 19.9 inches of snow, the city's snowiest March on record, the weather service said.
