As a man who marches India home and abroad, Mr. Modi presented himself to the electorate. His opponents warned that his continued leadership would put India’s democratic and secular foundations at grave risk.

When the results come in, Mr. Indians will be watching the trends of Modi’s BJP closely, as in the previous election, in 2019, the party won a majority, winning 303 seats to just 52 seats for the main opposition Indian National Party. Congress.
