Caitlin Clark is already having her New York moment.

The former Iowa superstar and leading scorer of any men's or women's NCAA Division I player made a guest appearance on “Saturday Night Live” before the Indiana Fever selected her as the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft in Brooklyn on Monday. Weekend with Colin Jost and Michael Che in the “Weekend Update” segment.

Clarke, 22, savagely grilled Chey, 40, during the roughly five-minute segment after he made a joke about her.

“The University of Iowa has announced that basketball star Kaitlyn Clark's jersey will be retired and replaced with an apron,” Chey said.

Clarke replied: “You make a lot of jokes about women's sports. Or Michael?”

Jost went on to show some clips of Savin's past jokes, poking fun at women's sports bars, record-setting audiences, and the WNBA.

“Colin with the receipts. Thanks, man,” Clark said.

Che was forced to read three jokes about him written by Clarke.

The first includes the Indiana Fever, who hold the first pick in the 2024 WNBA draft and are expected to select Clark.

Caitlin Clarke donned a pink apron signed by Michael Che after her opening joke on “Weekend Update.”

“Indiana Fever has first pick in this Monday's draft,” Chey read. “Indiana Fever is a WNBA team and a reminder that Michelle Chey provided dozens of women at Purdue University.”

With so much odds on that support, the Fever saw a “spike” in ticket sales interest as they sold single-game tickets in advance.

The WNBA's national broadcast and streaming partners offered 36 of 40 games for Indiana: eight games across ABC, ESPN and ESPN2, eight matchups on ION and two on CBS.

“Thanks, I'm sure this will be a great first step for me. But for all the great players like Sherrill Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, Cynthia Cooper, the great Don Staley and my basketball hero Maya Moore, it's just a stepping stone to the WNBA. It's just a stepping stone for me to walk in the door.” These are the girls who kicked it, so I want to thank them tonight for laying the groundwork.

The WNBA draft begins Monday at 7:30 p.m
