Actress Mayim Bialik, best known for her role as Amy Farrah Fowler on CBS’s The Big Bang Theory, Jeopardy! The actress posted on her Instagram account on Saturday that she will not continue in her role as host of the game show.
In her latest post to the social media site, Bialik told her 5.1 million followers that she had been informed she would no longer be hosting Jeopardy. But no specific reason was given as to why such a decision was taken.
“When the holiday break starts in Hollywood, I have a little Jeopardy! News,” Bialik wrote. Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting a syndicated version of Jeopardy! I’m incredibly honored to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy for hosting this year, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Jeopardy! family.”
Bialik, who is Jewish, has long been a vocal supporter and advocate for Israel and the Jewish people.

“Thank you to all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America’s favorite quiz show,” she concluded in the Instagram post.
Biyali was one of the first celebrities to publicly condemn the massacre by Hamas on October 7. On October 9, he posted a message on Instagram in which he said, “I pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel, for the abducted civilians, and for our soldiers – my family among them – to protect our right to exist.”
In an apparent reference to the Hebrew Bible’s book of Isaiah, Bialik said, “We will all see a day when bloodshed will cease and war will not be taught,” before concluding with the words “Am Yisrael Chai” in Hebrew.
The Big Bang Theory actress and former major part of Jeopardy! The host’s Instagram page is filled with Jewish and Israel-related content, with several recent posts dedicated to the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. In a video show posted on Instagram on Friday, she is featured alongside Jewish and Israeli rights activist and author Noah Tishbi. The two discussed the topic of anti-Semitism in the context of the Israel-Hamas war.
