“I was frustrated, real frustrated,” Leo Mullin said. “I’ve been trying to get on this golf trip for two years, so this puts a thorn in our plans now.”
From coast to coast, Hundreds of thousands of people are stranded. According to a United spokeswoman, the first flights were hit by severe storms, and later flight crew shortages and FAA air traffic control measures made a bad situation even worse.

“Oh, every meeting has people on the floor, old people, young people, people in wheelchairs, it’s awful,” Moston said. “If I’m being honest, I wish I could find a good class action lawsuit because I’ve got maybe 5,000 people to join me. You know, none of these people really have any recourse. They’re stuck here.”
Michael Jobin was on his way to Hawaii for his anniversary with his wife and sons, but like hundreds of other travelers, he was going nowhere.

Currently, United Airlines is allowing customers to rebook within a few days, but as the Fourth of July approaches, travelers should prepare for a wild ride or stay home, Mullin said.
“Really, be prepared for chaos and a lot of change along the way,” he said.
A United Airlines customer says that for those with travel disruptions, the mobile app automatically provides personalized re-booking options, bag tracking information, and qualifying meal and hotel vouchers if your flight is delayed or canceled, making it easier and less stressful. Go on your way again.
